2nd Chances
This is me taking back control of my life...What the *censored* have you done lately? Wesley Gibson (fictional character in Wanted)
Many time we screw up in our lives. Some are just embarrassing stuff while some are big screw ups. (Well I do agree sometimes we rather die than be embarrassed, but that's beside the point).
The thing is, in life there are 2nd chances that comes at certain times. I have this theory where everyone has an opportunity to a 2nd chance, but only at certain times. If I missed out on the opportunity at that particular point, it may never come back as good as it will be if I had taken the chance, or worst, I may never have the chance again.
Sometimes when the opportunity comes, we let our past hinder us. After which the chance is gone, we begin to whine "If only" ...
Or, on the other hand, we may instead adopt a mindset of " I'm so much better off now than then " OR " I'm better off with my current state than I would be if I had grab that chance/offer ". Could be true, but it could also be a denial thingy. Hmmm...
As with all other things, the choice is ours to make. Which is better, I don't know... Maybe whoever that's reading this can share your thoughts/experiences.

Selamat Hari Malaysia ke-45
Today marks the day when Sarawak and Sabah joins Tanah Melayu and becomes Malaysia !!!
Drats!!! This week will be a hectic week for me personally... Essay, Project report update, Costing for Engineering Management and... Lab report!!!
Wake Me Up When September Ends (reworded by thebloghead)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Semester has come and passed
The relaxing can never last
wake me up when September ends
like my study's come to pass
Three short years has gone so fast
wake me up when September ends
here comes the week again
sleepless from the start
drenched in my coffee bean
becoming who we are
as my memory rests
but never retains what I gained
wake me up when September ends
semester has come and passed
the relaxing can never last
wake me up when September ends
ring up your friends again
like we did when studies end

Fall and Rise of Leaders, then there's Cooliris
Last week was free week for me.
What a week! What news!
On Mike Guglielmucci:
I bet there are more than a million blogs on him!
I feel that how Christians handle this issue will show the world what we're really made off.
Do we practice what we preach on what to do when a fellow believer has fallen, do we practice what we preach on forgiveness, do we practice what we preach on judging and do we practice what we preach on sin.
I would like to link to my pastor's blog on this issue : An Appeal For Grace...
Yes some people are disappointed, perhaps some of us need to take a look at our own faith. As I was doing my devotions last week, this was what was written for the day:
The same can be said of Big Christian Personalities. Is my faith really based on my faith/trust in Jesus, or on their faith, sayings, preaching and ideas about Jesus?
This incident is also a good examples to all believers to check our own lives. Are we hiding secret sins that needs to be dealt with? I'm sure we have to deal with sins in our lives daily.
On Malaysia and Dato Seri Anwar winning the Permatang Pauh by-election:
Whether or not he delivers what he promise will be closely watch by all Malaysians.
Is a September 16 government change possible? Read an article here: 16 Sept: D-Day?
I bet lots of youth don't even remember what significance does 16 Sept 1963 hold. I'm not going to tell you... I expect you to know ;) Find out if you don't.
Anyway, regardless of the person, I think we should not put all our faith in a leader just because he promises something. We should also be ready to accept that any leader can fall and should move on to using our power to vote to place somebody who is righteous into power. If we do not exercise our power to decide, we have also decided the winner irresponsibly.
Yes while our excuse may be: "It's no difference who's in power, they are all the same", I believe they are not the same, and status quo will remain because of this attitude, hence there's no change, and we'll never see a change and never expect a change. We become apathetic, and we rot together with whoever we allow to rot the nation (if it rots).
On Cooliris
Btw, I just installed an add-on to Firefox 3.0. It's call cooliris. Really cool add-on:
It arranges pictures of websites which support it like a multi television displays.
Click on the pictures to see a 1280 x 800 resolution. They're not large files.
1) This is how you can browse... Just use you mouse to click and move it.
2) On mouse-over the pictures you can see the URL
Click on the picture and it zooms in.
Before:
After:
You can use it with search engines like Yahoo, Google, and even plays Youtube videos.
There is also the slide show feature which is quite cool.
Cooliris is cool!!!
You can google it or go to Cooliris.
p/s: This is my first blog with pictures... Yay! Broke the monotony of a text blog.

Yes some people are disappointed, perhaps some of us need to take a look at our own faith. As I was doing my devotions last week, this was what was written for the day:
The great cathedrals of Europe are not only breathtaking but intriguing in their architecture. Because their massive ceilings were too heavy for the walls to support, flying buttresses, or external extensions, were built to support the expansive roofs.
Although we are “the temple of the living God” (2 Cor. 6:16), I wonder if we are not more like these cathedrals, with buttresses of external influences holding us up while we remain weak at the core. Pastors, friends, rules, books, and small groups are helpful to support and bolster our faith. But if we depend too heavily on them, they can actually distract us from developing a healthy heart for God.

1 John 1:
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Resuscitation 1st attempt.
Today as I try to resuscitate this ol' blog of mine, I'm realising (note present continuous tense) lots of things in my life does not need reviving, but rather executing ideas and plans that I had in my mind. Yes there are areas in my life where I need to hit the "refresh button", but I'm quite sure that I need to open new "windows" in my life as well. You can't refresh a page that's not open... You can't revive things that never was alive.
Some of this things are rather simple. e.g. Having a exercise routine. I've never had a disciplined or proper exercise habit. It has been based on feeling like it.
Somethings need to be left for dead. Interestingly, I stumbled upon a medical "procedure" which was the opposite of Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR),that is, DNR = Do Not Resuscitate.
I think there are lots of things that needs DNR as well. The best candidate for DNR is procratination.
Unfotunately Mr. Procrastination has a very resilent body :(
Well this is just a short post to restart my blog.

DNR order is a written order from a doctor that resuscitation should not be attempted if a person suffers cardiac or respiratory arrest.

Me Away, Me Go Back.
Whoa...
Dear blog,
I'm so sorry I haven't been in touch with you for so so long.
Partly I'm lazy, partly I'm so occupied with things going on with my life.
Here I am in Curtin Uni in Miri Sarawak, far away from home, from Penang, frm Penang Char Kuey Teow, Penang Laksa, Curry me... etc.
Far away from my friends in Penang.
Studies are never easy. Trying to catch up on so many things in so short time.
Miri is a nice place to be in if you want to study, but if you really want entertainment, it's a little limited...
No mamak *Sniff*
The city is widespread and there's few tall buildings since they have plenty of land here.
Food here is rather expensive compared to Penang. THe local dishes are ok, but hawker food is still best in Penang... hehe
I attend FGA Bethel Miri. About 1/2 the congregation are bumiputras, 1/4 Chinese, and 1/4 Africans(mainly Nigerian).
Exciting things are begining to take place here too.
The Chinese ministry just got launched about 2 weeks ago.
When I came here about 2 weeks later Altered Frequency came to the church to worship lead!!!
They were involved in a Youth Rally here in Miri which happens anually.
Christian are quite active here and there are good musicians here too.
Anyway, Miri is not too bad a place...
Oh ya, I'll be going to Penang this weekend, then will be passing KL. Yoohoo!!!
See you people in Penang.
Penang Laksa, Penang Char Kuey Teow, I shall come like a hungry lion seeking to devour you.... MuahahahahA.
Chiao.
